If you’re considering an MBA….
MBA students are the main source of income for most universities – so you'll probably find you can get onto a course.
But what about the cost?
And can you afford the study time?
If you want an MBA these days, it’ll cost you a lot of money. The full-time MBA from Warwick Business School, for instance, currently costs £19,580 in fees alone.
You could go part-time instead, but even part-time MBA students soon find that they’ve signed up to a full-time commitment.
In which case you might not mind the fact that they won't let you start until October!
So what’s the alternative?
An MBA is the right solution for some people. But if you don’t want to sacrifice the time, effort, and money, then the Ascot Mini-MBA is a viable option.
Our course offers you the essential business techniques, the vocabulary, and the tools that you would learn on an MBA – but it’s a lot cheaper, takes a lot less time and effort, and you don't have to wait for October to come around.
The Ascot Mini-MBA gives you:
- A personal tutor trained at a top University Business School
- One Module a month for a year, each one providing you with the essential theory and practice of an MBA Module
- The vocabulary and the tools to deal on equal terms with MBA graduates
How does it work?
As soon as you enrol on the Ascot Mini-MBA, three things happen:
- You’re assigned a Personal Tutor, who emails you straight away to begin
your valuable student-tutor exchanges. Your tutor will be your guide throughout the course (NB all our tutors have been educated to at least MBA level at top universities)
- You receive details of our Student Resources website, where you can download many books and articles to help with your course (free-of-charge, of course – there are no hidden extras with Ascot Business Training)
- We post you the first Module, a 36-page A4 booklet introducing you to ten of the most important Management writers
When you’ve read Module 1, you email your tutor to discuss possible further reading and/or assignment work and how you might use what you've learned in your place of work. The assignments are usually voluntary (unless your course is financed by your employers and they ask us to make sure you do them). Some students make a point of completing each Module’s suggested assignments; others feel the need only to read the Module and exchange emails about it with their tutor.
The other eleven Modules are then sent to you at monthly intervals. With your fourth Module, Employee Motivation, you receive a personalised binder. With Module 12, Course Review, you and your tutor have a chance to look again at any part of the course you still want to spend time on, and to continue to apply what you’ve learnt to your individual work situation. Naturally, you are also awarded the Ascot Mini-MBA Certificate.
I’m interested… but can I try the course for free?
Our Modules are usually posted out to you in booklet form, however we can send you a sample as an email attachment. To receive a section of the first Module as a Free Sample, please click here.
After you’ve enrolled, you even get a second chance to try the course for free, because the Ascot Mini-MBA comes with a complete money-back guarantee. If at any point during the course you decide you do not want to continue, you can send back the last Module we sent you, for a full refund of everything up to that point. For instance, if you decide to give up after you receive Module 7 of the 12, you can send it back and we immediately refund 50% of the course fee we received – in other words, you will only have paid for the first six. Of course, this means that if you send back Module 1 before we send you Module 2, we will immediately make a 100% refund.
Incidentally, if you're wondering what your £19,580 would get you at Warwick, you can check the Warwick MBA's current ranking by clicking here. You'll have to scroll down to number 36 (up from 52 last year). In case you thought we were quoting you a particularly expensive MBA, here are links to Harvard and INSEAD.
